Agnes' father was John Fisher and her mother was Ellennora Aitken.  Her maternal grandparents were James Aitken and Janet Aird. She had ten brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Matthew, Lawrance, Hugh, William, Robert, Thomas, Matthew, Robert, Eleanor and Nelley.  She was the third oldest of the thirteen children.
