George Cunningham

George was born in August 1723 in Dalmeny and his baptism took place there on August 18th, 1723.¹   George's father was Edward Cunninghame and his mother was Jannet Hill.  His paternal grandparents were Edward Cunninghame and Margaret Godrell; his maternal grandparents were John Hill and Jennet Bell. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edward, John, James, Margaret, Jannet, Catharen, Hellen and Jean.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.
