George Boyd 
George was born in 1877 in Kilwinning.1 2 George's father was Thomas Boyd and his mother was Williamina (Minnie) Robertson. His maternal grandparents were George Robertson and Martha Carlton McGloughlane. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Hugh, Hugh, Thomas, Martha, Mary, Catherine and Bessie. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
