James Bone

James was born in 1802 in St. Quivox.^1 2

James' father was David Bone and his mother was Margaret Smith.  His paternal grandparents were James Bone and Janet Duncan. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, David, William, John, Alexander, Margaret and Elspeth.  He was the oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 71 in 1873 in Dalmellington.³
