Matthew Aitken 
Matthew was born in 1868 in Riccarton.1 Matthew's father was James Aird Aitken and his mother was Mary Gray Flanagan. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Aitken and Jane Aird. He had three sisters named Mary, Jane and Sarah. He was the oldest of the four children.-
