Mary was born in 1701 in King George Co. VA.  Mary's father was Humphrey Quesinberry and her mother was Elizabeth Mothershead.  Her paternal grandparents were John Quesinberry and Anne Pope; her maternal grandparents are John Mothershead and Elizabeth Bachelor. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Jane, Anne and Bethlehem.  She was the youngest of the five children. She had two half-brothers named Humphrey and Humphrey.
