Sarah was born on December 8th, 1799 in Hepburn Twp, Lycoming Co, PA.  Sarah's father was Peter Marshall II and her mother was Rachel Overfield.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward the Walker Marshall and Elizabeth Meaze Weiser. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James Van Camp, John, Edward, Thomas, Elizabeth and Amy Ann.  She was the sixth oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Rebecca.  She died at the age of 70 in September 1870 in Eldred, Lycoming, Pennsylvania.
