James Melvin Marshall

James Melvin was born on March 4th, 1831 in Kearneysville, VA. James Melvin's father was John Marshall and his mother was Ruhanna Melvin. His paternal grandparents were William Marshall and Mary C. Banes. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John William, Phineas, Robert McGruder, Mary Elizabeth, Margaret Melvin and Ruhanna. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 80 on October 26th, 1911.
