Catherine Wallace was born on December 24th, 1797 in Little Cub Creek, Charlotte, Virginia.  Catherine Wallace's father was Benjamin Wilkins Marshall and her mother was Sarah Pulliam.  Her paternal grandparents were John Wilkins Marshall Sr and Hannah Baldwin; her maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John Henry, James Pulliam Pullam, Benjamin Wilkins, Thomas Rawlings, Presley, Elizabeth Rawlings, Hannah B and Sarah W.  She is the eighth oldest of the nine children.
