Francois was born on September 7th, 1747 in Saint-Coulomb, Bretagne, France and his christening took place there on September 7th, 1747.  His godfather was antoine JAMET and his godmother was Yvonne JAMET.  Francois' father was François BASLE and his mother was Julienne Nicole JAMET.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Anthoine JAMET and Janne PINOU. He had four brothers named Jean, Thomas, Pierre and Méloir.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 25 on March 13th, 1773 in Cancale, France.
