Robert was born on January 27th, 1952 in Chicago.  Robert's father was Richard Francis Adler and his mother was Alice Blau.  His paternal grandparents were Oskar Adler and Therese Steiner (Adler). He has two brothers named Peter and Thomas.  He is the youngest of the three children.
