To graduate, she submitted as a "home-work thesis": "Childrens' Characters in the Works of Gottfried Keller and Hermann Hesse."  Her graduation from the Realgymnasium entitled her to enter a university.

---State of Illlinois issued a certification that AB was a licensed physician and surgeon as of 15-Aug-1941.
---Went to Iowa City, Iowa, completed service as Assistant Resident in the Dept. of Pediatrics at State Univ. of Iowa University Hospitals, Sept. 1, 1941 to July 1, 1943
