Joan de Dammartin 
Joan was born in 1292 in Barnstaple, Devonshire, England.1 Joan's father was William Martin and her mother was Eleanor Fitzpiers. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Nicholas Martin and Maud de Briene; her maternal grandparents were Reginald FitzPiers and Joan de Vivonia. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Edmund, William, Nicholas, Eleanor and Maria. She was the second youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother named John. She died at the age of 30 on August 1st, 1322.1 -
