Bedy F. was born in September 1885 in Person Co, NC. Bedy F.'s father was James Ruffin Yarbrough and his mother was Frances 'Fannie' Gentry. His paternal grandparents were Thomas 'Tom' Yarbrough and Sarah Ann Rhew. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James F., Johnny Pat, Ruby Ruffin, Howard Arthur, Effie H. and Susan.
