James Ruffin Yarbrough 
James Ruffin was born on January 24th, 1858 in Person Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1870. James Ruffin's father was Thomas 'Tom' Yarbrough and his mother was Sarah Ann Rhew. His maternal grandparents were John Ruffin Rhew and Susan Roberts. He had a brother and two sisters, named Judson 'Jordan' T., Mary Elizabeth 'Mollie Bet' and Susan Margaret. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William Archie, David Samuel, Sarah Frances and Katherine Lewis. He died at the age of 62 on March 24th, 1920. He was buried on March 25th, 1920 in Brown - Hicks Cemetery, Roxboro, Person Co, NC.General Notes
