William WHITAKER Jr. 
William was born about 1834. William's father was William WHITAKER Sr. and his mother was Elizabeth STAPLER. His maternal grandparents were John S. STAPLER and Ann NORMAN. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, James, Joseph L., Elijah, Robert, Nathan, Caroline Celina, Elisabeth, Mahala and Nancy. He was the third oldest of the eleven children.-
