Charles Tildon was born on November 9th, 1874 in Vinita, Schuyler Co., MO.. Charles Tildon's father was Bushrod WHITACRE Sr. and his mother was Susan Mahalia SPEER. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Newton WHITACRE and Louisa Jane NORMAN. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Bushrod, Grover Cleveland, Thomas Hendricks, Richard Earnest, Earl N., Cora Jane, Nora Mahalia, Louzetta, Suzetta and Harriett.
