Bushrod was born on March 28th, 1881 in Schuyler, MO.. Bushrod's father was Bushrod WHITACRE Sr. and his mother was Susan Mahalia SPEER. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Newton WHITACRE and Louisa Jane NORMAN. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Charles Tildon, Grover Cleveland, Thomas Hendricks, Richard Earnest, Earl N., Cora Jane, Nora Mahalia, Louzetta, Suzetta and Harriett. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 69 on May 5th, 1950 in Des Moines, Polk Co., IA..-
