Essie Marie Underwood 
Essie Marie was born on November 27th, 1923.1 Essie Marie's father was Frederick Clarence Underwood and her mother was Mary Lela Rebecca Skaggs. Her maternal grandparents were William Anderson Skaggs and Martha Francis Nelson. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Lee Francis, Blond Hanley, Charlie, Dorothy, Unknown and Unknown. She died at the age of 31 on July 16th, 1955 in Shot By Husband. She was buried in Otter Creek Cemetery, Taylor Co. Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
