William L. Skaggs 
William L. was born on July 18th, 1828 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 William L.'s father was Stephen Skaggs and his mother was Rhoda Warren. His paternal grandparents were Henry Skaggs and Berry (Nannie) Skaggs. He had five brothers and five sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Henry David, Hezekiah, Uriah, Elijah P., James Thomas, Mary, Lucinda, Elizabeth, Emily, Rachel Ann, Unknown and Unknown. He was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 68 on September 21st, 1896 in Green Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Skaggs Cemetery , Green Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
