John Shirley

John was born in 1536 in Bledloe, Buckinghamshire, England. John's father was Francis Shirley and his mother was Dorothy Giffard. His paternal grandparents were Ralph Shirley and Jane Sheffield; his maternal grandmother was Dorothy Montgomery. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edward, Arthur, Ralph, Elizabeth, Cassandra, Mary, Alice and Anne. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 41 on November 15th, 1577 in Chartridge, Buckinghamshire, England.
