William Park Shipley 
William Park was born about August 1837 in , Hamilton County, Tennessee, USA.1 William Park's father was Benjamin Franklin SHIPLEY and his mother was Sarah "Sally" BURKETT. His paternal grandparents were Richard SHIPLEY and Henrietta HUGHES. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Nathan Pascal, Benjamin Franklin, Richard, James, Elijah, Thomas, Ibbey Jane, Susan Arabelle, Naomi Jane and Hanna Rette. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died on April 20th, 1870 in , Crawford County, Arkansas, USA.1 General Notes
William Park Shipley was born about 1837 in Hamilton County, Tennessee, USA. He married Ansadona "Ancydona" Crabtree the 2nd of March, 1859 in Scully, Madison County, Arkansas, USA.(1) She was born May 1842 in Kentucky, the eighth child of William Humberston Wheelon Crabtree and _____ _____.(2) She was the sister of Miles Crabtree and William Thomas Crabtree, husbands of William's sisters, Ibbey Jane Shipley and Susan Arabella Shipley respectively. William enlisted in the Union's 1st Arkansas Infantry. He kept his family with him at Fort Smith where he was stationed. William died the after July 24, 1870 in Crawford County, Arkansas, USA probably of complications from an impure smallpox vaccination given during the Civil War.(3) H. N. Patton, examiner for Sarah Shipley's pension application, wrote that Park had a terrible skin disease that killed him.(4) Ancy Dona received a war pension of $8.00. She was living in White Rock, Franklin County, Arkansas, USA in 1895. Ansadona is listed in the 1900 census living in Franklin County, Arkansas next door to her daughter, Sarilda Cox. According to Pauline Akers she died in 1906. They had four children.

(2) There was debate whether Ansadona belonged in this family but she does. William T. Crabtree says in his witness affidavit the 19th of March, 1890, for the Sarah Shipley pension application No. 379,798, that he went to visit Park Shipley who married his sister. Ansadona would have been born in Kentucky not Arkansas as census records indicate since the Crabtree family moved to Arkansas about 1852.
(3) Marilynn Jane Aromi: Family oral history lists the death date as April 20, 1870 but William Park Shipley is listed on the July 24, 1870 United States census.
