Thomas Shipley 
Thomas was born about 1854 in Chester, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA.1 Thomas' father was Benjamin Franklin SHIPLEY and his mother was Sarah "Sally" BURKETT. His paternal grandparents were Richard SHIPLEY and Henrietta HUGHES. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Nathan Pascal, Benjamin Franklin, William Park, Richard, James, Elijah, Ibbey Jane, Susan Arabelle, Naomi Jane and Hanna Rette. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died about 1854 in Chester, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA.1 General Notes
James Shipley's pension records: Sarah (Burkett) Shipley’s affadavit tells of the birth and death of Thomas in 1854.
His mother was abandoned by her husband and malnourished at the time of his birth.
