John Reade 
John was born in 1639 in Yorktown, York, Virginia. John's father was George Reade and his mother was Elizabeth Martiau. His maternal grandparents were Capt. Nicholas Martiau and Jane Berkeley. He had five brothers and four sisters, named George, Robert, Benjamin, Thomas, Francis, Mildred, Elizabeth, Ann and Mary. He was the oldest of the ten children.-
