Alexander Franklin was born on October 8th, 1906 in Davie, North Carolina. Alexander Franklin's father was Robert Lee McDaniel and his mother was Angeline Foster. His maternal grandparents were James Foster and Mary Baxley. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Zachary L., Henry Joe, Thomas Edward, Charles Baxter, Alex S, Isaac Ray, Robert Lee, Fallie Bell, Lola Odell, Lillie Mae, Bertha Lee, Zona Mertia, Mertie I and Rosa Bell. He was the fifth youngest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 77 on April 28th, 1984 in Mooresville, Iredell, North Carolina.-
