John Richard Laird 
John Richard was born about 1857 in California. John Richard's father was Eleazar Givens Laird and his mother was Mary Jane McDowell. His paternal grandparents were James Kerr Jr. Laird and Louisa "Lonie" Givens. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Robert Robertson, Samuel James, David Terry, Eleazar Givens, George Thomas, William Franklin, Louis Porter, Eusibia Neville, Louisa Mary, Sarah Catherine and Virginia Mabel.General Notes
