William Joyce 
William was born on April 19th, 1849 in Henry Co, VA.1 William's father was Martin James Joyce and his mother was Sarah Anne Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James M., John, Thomas Roberts, Lafayette W., Joseph Sidney, Eliza Jane, Nancy, Martha Susan and Lucinda. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Robert Alexander and Caroline M.. He died at the age of 59 on November 3rd, 1908 in Aud, Osage Co, MO. He was buried in Wilhoit Cemetery, Osage Co, MO.1 1 General Notes
