Robert Alexander Joyce 
Robert Alexander was born on March 23rd, 1833 in Stoneville, Rockingham Co, NC.1 Robert Alexander's father was Martin James Joyce. He had six brothers and five sisters, named James M., William, John, Thomas Roberts, Lafayette W., Joseph Sidney, Caroline M., Eliza Jane, Nancy, Martha Susan and Lucinda. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 29 on June 5th, 1862 in Richmond, Henrico Co, VA. He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Richmond, Henrico Co, VA.1 1 General Notes
