Lafayette W. Joyce 
Lafayette W. was born on August 5th, 1855 in Henry Co, VA.1 Lafayette W.'s father was Martin James Joyce and his mother was Sarah Anne Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James M., William, John, Thomas Roberts, Joseph Sidney, Eliza Jane, Nancy, Martha Susan and Lucinda. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Robert Alexander and Caroline M.. He died at the age of 7 on October 15th, 1862 in Smith River, Henry Co, VA.1 General Notes
