Rosa Lee was born on May 22nd, 1879 in KY. Rosa Lee's father was Lewis Oscar Despain and her mother was Amanda J. Johnston. Her paternal grandparents were John B. Despain and Malinda A. Bazor. She had two brothers and two sisters, named George M., John Henry, Mary Green and Emile T.. She was the second youngest of the five children.
