Christopher Columbus Despain 
Christopher Columbus was born on October 4th, 1839 in Macomb, Mcdonough, Illinois. Christopher Columbus' father was William Joseph Despain and his mother was Janetta S. Katherine Eaton. His paternal grandparents were Peter DeSpain and Nancy Skaggs. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Augustus, Oscar H., Albert, Mary F., Amanda, Eliza Jane, Emma and Nettie. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 91 on May 26th, 1931 in Plattsmouth, Cass, Iowa.General Notes
