John William Colyer 
John William was born on April 30th, 1854 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.1 John William's father was St. Clair Colyer and his mother was Elizabeth C. Morgan. His paternal grandparents were John Wesley Colyer and Lydia Memes Purvis. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Jehu R., James L., St. Clare, Charles C., Willie, Perry Nathan, Nancy W., Idelia C. and W. Alma. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died in 1854.General Notes
