James L. Colyer 
James L. was born in 1857 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. James L.'s father was St. Clair Colyer and his mother was Elizabeth C. Morgan. His paternal grandparents were John Wesley Colyer and Lydia Memes Purvis. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John William, Jehu R., St. Clare, Charles C., Willie, Perry Nathan, Nancy W., Idelia C. and W. Alma. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 77 in 1934.General Notes
