Lula A. Carpenter 
Lula A. was born on August 18th, 1889 in Kings Mountain, Cleveland Co, NC. Lula A.'s father was Edward Anderson Pinckney Carpenter and her mother was Caroline B. 'Callie' Hoke. Her maternal grandparents were Peter Philo Hoke and Faithy Ann Goforth. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Clarence E., Charles Troy, Clara M., Daisy Ella and Fanny Emma. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 45 on April 29th, 1935 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co, NC. She was buried on April 30th, 1935 in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, Cleveland Co, NC.General Notes
