Clarence E. Carpenter 
Clarence E. was born on September 18th, 1893 in NC. Clarence E.'s father was Edward Anderson Pinckney Carpenter and his mother was Caroline B. 'Callie' Hoke. His maternal grandparents were Peter Philo Hoke and Faithy Ann Goforth. He had a brother and four sisters, named Charles Troy, Clara M., Lula A., Daisy Ella and Fanny Emma. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 72 on October 24th, 1965 in Kings Mountn, Cleveland. He was buried on October 26th, 1965 in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, Cleveland Co, NC.General Notes
