Mary "Polly", known as Polly, was born on August 20th, 1819 in Clark Co., KY.. Polly's father was Henry BROWNING and her mother was Maria FIELDS. Her paternal grandparents were Toliver (Toliver) and Mary BROWNING. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James, William Tolliver, John Mann, Franklin, James F., Elizabeth and Nancy Ann. She was the oldest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Fenton Taylor, Charles Eugene, Maria Francis, Isabella and Matilda.-
