James BROWNING

James was born on November 1st, 1823 in Clark Co., KY.. James' father was Henry BROWNING and his mother was Maria FIELDS. His paternal grandparents were Toliver (Toliver) and Mary BROWNING. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Tolliver, John Mann, Franklin, James F., Polly, Elizabeth and Nancy Ann. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Fenton Taylor, Charles Eugene, Maria Francis, Isabella and Matilda.
