George Strother was born on March 7th, 1789 in Culpeper Co., VA.. George Strother's father was Lieutenant John BROWNING Sr. and his mother was Betty (Betty). His paternal grandparents were Frank (Frank) III and Frances Eman Norman. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named John Dabney, William Winston, Charles Dabney, Oliver Winston, Francis Strother, Mary Wade, Mary Elizabeth, Lucy, Fannie, Elizabeth, Nancy, Millie and Sally. He was the seventh youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 60 on December 31st, 1849 in Logan Co., KY..General Notes
