Karl von Hessen-Kassel 
Karl was born in 1789. Karl's father was Friedrich Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and his mother was Karoline von Nassau-Usingen. His paternal grandparents were Friedrich II von Hessen-Kassel and Mary von Great Britain. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Landgraf, Friedrich, Ludwig, Georg, Luise, Marie and Augusta. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 13 in 1802.-
