Lydia D. was born in July 1883 in WV.1 Lydia D.'s father was George A Slayton and her mother was Sarah Emily Cox. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel W. Slayton and Mary Shiltz. She had five brothers and three sisters, named George R., John S., Daniel Emanuel, Isiah W., James A., Lillie B., Sarah Ola and Infant. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John S., Isaiah W, Lilly Belle, Sarah Ola, Ollie and Slayton.1 -
