George R. Slayton 
George R. was born on September 18th, 1885 in Clendenin, Mason, WV.1 George R.'s father was George A Slayton and his mother was Sarah Emily Cox. His paternal grandparents were Daniel W. Slayton and Mary Shiltz. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John S., Daniel Emanuel, Isiah W., James A., Lillie B., Lydia D., Sarah Ola and Infant. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John S., Isaiah W, Lilly Belle, Sarah Ola, Ollie and Slayton. He died at the age of 79 in February 1965 in WV.1 -
