Carl Gottlieb Schwartze

Carl Gottlieb was born on February 25th, 1819.¹   Carl Gottlieb's father was Carl Christoph Ferdinand Schwartze and his mother was Metta Eleonora Anna Regina Koch.  His paternal grandfather was Johann Franz Schwartze; his maternal grandparents were Christian Gottlieb Koch and Catherina Margaretha Dorothea Maria Koch. He had six brothers and a sister, named Johann Franz Ferdinand, Friederich Christian, Johann Heinrich Wilhelm, Carl August Hermann, Georg Wilhelm Heinrich, Wilhelm Heinrich and Anna Sophia Maria Elisabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Stillborn, Carl Ernest Julius, Carl Wilhelm Ernst, August Christian Eduard, Hermann Heinrich and Anna Dorothea Auguste.¹
