Carl August Hermann Schwartze

Carl August Hermann was born on August 10th, 1821 in Verden.¹   Carl August Hermann's father was Carl Christoph Ferdinand Schwartze and his mother was Metta Eleonora Anna Regina Koch.  His paternal grandfather was Johann Franz Schwartze; his maternal grandparents were Christian Gottlieb Koch and Catherina Margaretha Dorothea Maria Koch. He had six brothers and a sister, named Johann Franz Ferdinand, Friederich Christian, Johann Heinrich Wilhelm, Carl Gottlieb, Georg Wilhelm Heinrich, Wilhelm Heinrich and Anna Sophia Maria Elisabeth.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Stillborn, Carl Ernest Julius, Carl Wilhelm Ernst, August Christian Eduard, Hermann Heinrich and Anna Dorothea Auguste.¹
