Esther was born in 1800 in Steubenville, Jefferson Co, OH. Esther's father was Samuel Hunter and her mother was Mary Larimore. Her paternal grandfather was James Hunter; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Larimore and Esther Wherry. She had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Joseph Ebenezer, William Alexander, Nancy, Sarah and Ann Almira. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 57 on June 19th, 1857 in Steubenville, Jefferson Co, OH.General Notes
