John Hay 
John was born in 1467 in Castle Yester, Gifford, East Lothian, Scotland. John's father was John Hay and his mother was Elizabeth Cunningham. His paternal grandfather was David Hay and his paternal grandmother is Mary Douglas; his maternal grandfather was George Cunningham. He had three brothers and a sister, named Nicholas, William, George and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thomas and Isabel. He died at the age of 46 on September 9th, 1513 in Flodden Field, Braxton, Northumberland, England.General Notes
