Maude was born about 1284 in Davenport, Astbury, Cheshire, England. Maude's father was Thomas De Davenport and her mother is Agnes De Macclesfield. Her paternal grandparents were Roger De Davenport and Mary Salemon; her maternal grandparents are Thomas De Macclesfield and UNKNOWN Milicent. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Roger, Peter, Millicent and Roes. She is the third oldest of the seven children.-
