His paternal grandparents were Roger De Davenport and Mary Salemon; his maternal grandparents are Thomas De Macclesfield and UNKNOWN Milicent. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, Peter, Maude, Millicent and Roes. He is the fourth oldest of the seven children.-
