Cora Ethel was born on May 9th, 1898 in Wood County, Ohio. Cora Ethel's father was Harvey Bateson and her mother was Martha Jane Hillard. Her maternal grandparents were Daniel Hillard and Martha McDonald. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Bert R., Nelson E., Emory Park, Della May, Laura Esther, Sarah Edith, Bertha Blanche and Flora Ethna. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 49 on May 13th, 1947 in Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan. She was buried in King Cemetery, Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan.-
