Bertha Blanche was born on June 27th, 1895 in Crawford County, Ohio. Bertha Blanche's father was Harvey Bateson and her mother was Martha Jane Hillard. Her maternal grandparents were Daniel Hillard and Martha McDonald. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Bert R., Nelson E., Emory Park, Della May, Laura Esther, Sarah Edith, Cora Ethel and Flora Ethna. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 67 on October 20th, 1962 in Wood County, Ohio.-
