Olive was born on August 7th, 1826 in Homer, Cortland, New York. Olive's father was Elisha Grow and her mother was Lois Palmer. Her maternal grandparents were Abel Palmer and Lois Palmer. She has ten brothers and six sisters, named Stillman Thompson, Elijah, Elisha, John Alonzo, Abel Palmer, William Breed, Thomas, Edward N, Edwin, Waterman Phillips, Lois, Julia, Dilla, Anne, Sarah Matilda and Rhoda Bennett. She is the second youngest of the seventeen children.-
